You may have joined us from YouTube, Instagram or maybe you saw us on last weeks episode of BBC’s Escape To The Country? Either way we hope you enjoy receiving this little newsletter into your inbox as much as we do with some of our favourite creators and brands. Sometimes it’s easier to write it all down rather than to create 5 different forms of content to fit each social medias criteria and to cross our fingers that the algorithm is actually going to show you what we spent hours creating. We’re a little tired of having to squeeze all our feelings into a 10 second reel but at the same time we can’t always afford to spend 2 weeks creating a 15 minute YouTube video either, especially now we have a toddler, a food van to build from an old horsebox, and the launch of Grace’s pressed flower art business. And so our newsletter was born.
To clarify, this isn’t in anyway going to replace any of our current social accounts, instead it’s allowing us to tell you about what we’re currently doing, feeling, making or to share anything else that interests us at The Little Holding. It’ll be a weekly letter to you guys from us. Sometimes it’ll be written by Grace, sometimes by Ryan but it will always be about our life at The Little holding collectively.
What was it like filming for Tv?
If you’ve watched last weeks episode of BBC’s Escape To The country then you’ll know that the lovely Alistair Appleton visited our home to talk about life at The Little Holding. We can confirm that he is as lovely and genuine as he comes across on the show and it was an absolute pleasure to show him around. Our only regret was that it was filmed a little too early into the summer and before our vegetable garden was full of abundance, it would’ve been lovely to show you all how it thrives over summer. Do not fear, we can confirm that those tomato plants in the polytunnel blossomed and we are still eating freshly grown tomatoes, even in October.
What we’ve been loving this week?
🥪Eat yourself into Autumn with Gill Mellers Kimchi and cheddar cheese toastie.
📖For parents and lovers of nature, we are really enjoying reading 5 minute nature stories by Gabby Dawnay to Arthur, it’s a beautifully illustrated book with loads of interesting facts, we’ve even learnt a thing or two.
📺Our current Netflix binge is ‘Beckham’, neither of us are massive football fans but two episodes in and we are both hooked and disgusted at the hatred and bullying that had to be endured.
📱Tiktok, A controversial app that has it’s pros and cons. I (Grace) am currently on the content creation flow over there so if you’re interested then please follow me. I just really like the fact that content doesn’t have to feel too polished and you can quite literally just film a snippet and upload it without too much pressure. I’m currently trying to persuade Ryan to upload some cooking content, feel free to peer pressure him too.
ah this is such a cool little newsletter. love it 👍👍👍🙂
